WITCHBURNER

Witchburner was formed as a two-man band by Tankred Best and Florian Schmidt in 1992.

After a few rehearsals, the first demo was recorded under the title "Future Tales", but it was not officially sold due to the poor production.

After a few gigs the band was put on hold for a short while as Tankred Best helped out as a guitarist with the band Drunken Devil.

Drunken Devil was disbanded again and in 1996 Tankred Best, Tony Skudlarek, Florian Schmitt and Simon Seegel teamed up to let the Witchburner name live on again.

In the same year, the first CD Witchburner was self-released and limited to 500 copies. After a few gigs, Florian Schmitt had to leave the band and was replaced by Christoph Unbemach.

Various gigs and a small tour followed, before going back into the studio in 1998 to record the second CD "Blasphemic Assault", which was released some time later by Undercover Rec
