Volbeat is a metal band from the Danish capital Copenhagen. The band is signed to Vertigo Records and has released seven albums and four video albums to date. Her style is a mixture of metal, rock ’n’ roll, punk rock, country and blues and is often referred to as "Elvis Metal" based on Elvis Presley.
The band name comes from the album Vol.Beat by the band Dominus, in which Michael Poulsen played before Volbeat was founded. "Vol" stands for volume and "beat" for the rhythm. As of April 2016, the band had sold more than 3.5 million albums worldwide.
