The Police

The Police were an English new wave band that had their greatest success in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It is considered one of the most successful rock formations of New Wave. Initially inspired by reggae, punk and ska, the trio later also experimented with elements of jazz. Four out of five studio albums reached number 1 in the British album charts, and the single releases Message in a Bottle (1979), Walking on the Moon (1979), Don't Stand So Close to Me (1980), Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic (1981) and Every Breath You Take (1983). On February 12, 2007, to commemorate the 2007 Grammy Awards, The Police gave her Comeback in the music industry known, then the musicians went on another world tour, but released no new material. On August 7th, 2008 the band gave their last concert according to their own statement.
