Mods are adherents of a subculture that was mainly present in the UK in the early and mid 1960s, but also in other European countries, and then came back into vogue again in the late 1970s to early 1980s at the same time as the New Wave. Occasionally, mods can still be found in large cities today, there are shops, pubs and bands that are stimulated by the mod way of life.
