Megadeth is an American metal band formed in 1983 by singer and guitarist Dave Mustaine, guitarist Greg Handevidt, bassist David Ellefson and drummer Dijon Carruthers. Shortly before, Mustaine had left the band Metallica.

Handevidt was replaced by Kerry King before the first concert. King played 5 concerts and then devoted himself exclusively to Slayer. Megadeth is considered to be a pioneer of the Thrash Metal movement in America and later throughout Europe. Together with Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax, the band is one of the “Big Four” of Thrash Metal. To date, Megadeth has released 15 studio albums, four live albums, four compilations, 26 singles, two EPs and 32 music videos.
