Kingdom Come emerged in 1987 from the band Stone Fury, which released the two albums Burns Like a Star (1984) and Let Them Talk (1986) in the mid-1980s. After the band ended, singer Lenny Wolf started a new band called Kingdom Come. In addition to Wolf, the two guitarists Danny Stag and Rick Steier, bassist Johnny B. Frank and drummer James Kottak belonged to the original line-up.
