King 810 consists of singer David Gunn, guitarist Andrew Beal, bassist Eugene Gill and drummer Andrew Workman, all of whom are from Flint, Michigan. The musicians had to grapple with difficult situations from an early age. Experiences with criminal offenses within the city are lyrically taken up by the musicians. In particular, an armed attack on singer David Gunn, in which he was shot and seriously injured, was already taken up in their songs.
