Immortal

Immortal is a Norwegian metal band that was founded as a death metal band and is one of the most famous groups in Norwegian black metal of the early 1990s. The band members sometimes avoided the term "Black Metal" because the band is not based on Satanism, as is common in Black Metal, and the musicians point out in interviews that they are not Satanists. Instead, style names such as "Holocaust Metal" and "Dark Fantasy Metal" is used.
